Report Parking Problem

Let us know if you see a parking problem. Common parking problems may include: a broken meter, a malfunctioning pay station, a vehicle blocking a driveway, or an improperly parked car. You can report parking problems by phone, email, or online.

Reporting key information

The following information is helpful for our staff to respond and resolve parking problems quickly.

  • Vehicle license plate number
  • Vehicle description
  • Location of parking concern
  • Description of problem

Once a meter becomes broken, jammed, or unable to accept payment, the parking space becomes a “no parking zone” and must remain open for staff to repair. If a pay station becomes inoperable, please use the nearest working pay station.

Online Parking Report Form

Once your online report is submitted, you will receive a case number. Keep this case number for future reference.

After hours/weekend reporting

Any after hours or weekend parking problems should be reported to Salem Police Non-Emergency at 503-588-6123.
