The City of Salem has published an interactive map that layers air quality, evacuation zones, and active wildfires.

There are no evacuation orders in place for the City of Salem. The distance of the fire from Salem city limits, and the topography between the fire and Salem, reduces the likelihood the fire will lead to calls for evacuation in our community.

However, Salem residents can monitor air quality regularly and check for wildfire updates often. The City of Salem created a map for residents to use as a resource. The interactive map layers are all live data feeds coming from other sources, such as Oregon Office of Emergency Management (OEM) and AirNow which reports air quality using the official U.S. Air Quality Index.
