Spring is here and summer is hot on its heels! Salem's parks welcome you back! Here are a few quick tips to preserve our public spaces as places of beauty and enjoyment for everyone. Find a Salem park near you

Our Parks are Smoke-Free

Smoking and vaping are not allowed in any park in Salem, including parking lots located on park property.

Space Reservation

City of Salem park facilities are the perfect option for a company picnic, family reunion or other special event. Reserve a park or City facility for your next event!


Alcohol is only allowed in some reservable picnic areas, and it must stay within 100 feet of those reserved areas. If you wish to have alcohol at an event in the park, you must apply for an alcohol permit.

Dogs in Parks

Dogs on leashes are welcome in all City parks. Most parks have Mutt Mitt dispensers so owners can pick up after a pet, which helps keep parks clean and safe for visitors. In off-leash areas, owners must be with their pets, and in verbal control of their dog, at all times. The following parks have off-leash areas for dogs:
