Salem Reads 2022 Book Giveaway begins at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 8

Get your own free copy of the Salem Reads 2022 book, A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki! The annual Salem Reads Book Giveaway begins at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 8 at the Main Library, 585 Liberty St. SE. The Salem Public Library Foundation is preparing for a fantastic month of virtual events and activities in February 2022 exploring the story and themes of this book that explores the unexpected connection of a writer in Vancouver B.C. and a young woman in Tokyo, whose lives intersect through the force of a tsunami.

 

Each giveaway bag includes a paperback copy of the book and a Salem Reads schedule as well as two special items that reflect the themes of the book - an origami take & make pack and a small Japanese treat. Limit: One giveaway bag per reader.

 

Books giveaway bags will be available while supplies last on a special table on Floor 1, near the main entrance. Salem Public Library is now open for in-person visits from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. Masks worn over the mouth and nose are required at all times inside the library.
