Good news! Data shows that the North Santiam River, the source of Salem’s drinking water, is clear of cyanotoxins. For the last few weeks, levels in the river have trended downward. This last three days, there are none at all. This means that we will return to normal weekly sampling and reporting, per Department of Environmental Quality regulations. We will continue to monitor water conditions throughout the system.
