Storytimes at the Library

Please note: Due to Fire Marshal ratings, the Story Room is limited to a maximum of 60 occupants. Free passes are available 15 minutes prior to each storytime.

Storytimes will be on break the following dates: May 21 - June 1, 2019.

Early, literacy-rich storytimes are fun ways for families to help their babies, toddlers, and preschoolers get ready to learn to read when they start elementary school. No registration is required for these free 20-30 minute programs that take place in the story rooms on the third floor of the Main Library.

11:00 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays

Jus​​t right for babies through toddlers age 2 ½ to enjoy with their grownups.

Tiny Tots Playtime

10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Fridays
Story Room B

Open play time with interactive toys and board books for babies through toddlers age 2 ½ and their grownups.

Brainy Babies - Olé Bebé

Program is suspended until the Library Seismic and Safety Upgrade is complete.


Preschool Storytime

10:15 a.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Interactive stories, songs, and movement for children ages 2 ½ to 6 and their grownups.

Bedtime Storytime

7 p.m. on Tuesdays

Children of all ages bring, your grownup and join us for 30 minutes of stories, songs, and movement.

Family Storytime

10:15 a.m. on Saturdays
Story Room A

Children of all ages bring, your grownup and join us for 30 minutes of stories, songs, and movement. Please Note: This program is replaced by Discovery Kids: Preschool Art and Science on the 2nd Saturday of the month from October to March (See the calendar for additional details).

Cuentos en Español (Spanish Family Storytime)

7:00 p.m. miércoles/Wednesdays

Habrá cuentos en español para toda la familia. Los programas incluierán cuentos y canciones en español para niños de todas edades.

Families with children of all ages are invited to participate in our Spanish-language story time.
