Teen Scene at the Library

A group of five teenagers sitting and standing by bookshelves reading books.

Teen Scene, on floor one of the Main Library, provides services for teens from 5th grade completion to the summer after high school completion (approximately 11 1/2–18 years old).

The Teen Scene collection is available to everyone when the Library is open.  Other services are available during Teen Scene hours.

Middle- and high school- aged youth are encouraged to visit and:

  • Browse and check out books, music, and magazines.

  • Study or relax in the seating area.

  • Use the Group Study Room (available to reserve through the Teen Scene Ask Here Desk).

  • Use a Library laptop* or free WiFi access. Black-and-white and color printing is available through the laptops or wirelessly through personal devices.

  • Play one of the many board games or work on a puzzle.

  • Create a make-and-take craft from a Maker Box.

  • Use the PS3, Wii, and X-Box 360 gaming systems.*

  • Ask the friendly staff to help guide you to the perfect book.
