If you want to use a specific number of parking spaces for a set time period in the Downtown Parking District, you will need temporary parking permits. In a
residential parking district, you may use guest passes or apply for
construction maintenance parking permits.
Temporary parking permits are available for non-construction activities such as:
- Special events
- Weddings
- Trainings
- Receptions
- Loading and unloading that requires more than 30 minutes
- Residential dumpsters
- Storage
Permit application process
To apply for a temporary parking permit, you must submit a
temporary on-street parking permit application form to the Permit Application Center.
The application will be reviewed to ensure that at least 60 percent of the total spaces available on a block remain open if your application is approved. The review process may take up to 48 hours, and you will be contacted with the results.
If your application is approved, you will need to pick up and pay for the permits in person at the Permit Application Center.
