Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Implementation Plan and Annual Reports

The City of Salem operates under a Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Implementation Plan to address warm temperature in local streams. Other water quality parameters that have an associated TMDL, such as E. coli bacteria and mercury, are addressed under the City’s activities in the Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP).

In 2016, an updated TMDL Implementation Plan was submitted to and approved by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ).
