Spring is in the air and before you know it summer will be here! We want to welcome you back to your community parks.  A few quick tips to preserve our public spaces as places of beauty and enjoyment for everyone.

  • Dogs in Parks.  Dogs on leashes are welcome in all City parks. Most parks have Mutt Mitt dispensers so owners can pick up after a pet, which helps keep parks clean and safe for visitors.  In off-leash areas, owners must be with their pets, and in verbal control of their dog, at all times. The following parks have off-leash areas for dogs:
  • Our Parks are Smoke-Free  As a reminder, all Salem Parks became Smoke-Free in 2016.
  • Space Reservation.  City of Salem park facilities may provide the perfect option for a company picnic, family reunion or other special event. Learn more about reserving a park or City facility for your next event!
