Temporary Use Permit
Apply for a Temporary Use Permit
The temporary use permit is a process to seek approval to temporarily operate specific uses. There are two types of Temporary Use Permits, Class 1 and Class 2. Class 1 permits are reviewed administratively. Class 2 permits are reviewed administratively, after a public notice and comment period.
The following uses are subject to a Class 1 temporary use permit.
- Christmas tree sales;
- Construction modular;
- Construction storage yard];
- Emergency shelter;
- Managed temporary village with ten or fewer shelter units;
- Replacement single family dwelling;
- Residential sales/development office;
- Safe parking shelter; and
- Temporary motor vehicle and recreational vehicle sales.
The following uses are subject to a Class 2 temporary use permit.
- Managed temporary village with 11 to 40 shelter units; and
- Temporary and seasonal gravel parking and loading areas.
SRC Chapter 701 provides more information on each use listed above including what the use allows, operational standards, time limits of the temporary use, etc.
