Salem Public Library Advisory Board: The Salem Public Library Advisory Board advises the Salem City Council on the operation of the City of Salem Public Library. The nine-member board is appointed by City Council.

Salem Public Library Foundation: The Salem Public Library Foundation, established in 1981, is a community-based group of supporters who raise and administer funds for enhancement projects and programs at the Salem Public Library.

Friends of Salem Public Library: Friends of the Salem Public Library support and cooperate with the Library to develop Library services and facilities for the community.
