The library provides spaces for research, selecting reading materials, studying, and writing. You can also attend programs and meetings here.

Study Rooms

The Salem Public Library has six study rooms available for public use at no cost. Five of these rooms are at the Main Library, and one is at the West Salem Branch. Individuals and groups can reserve study rooms online, by phone, or at a Salem Public Library Ask Here Desk inthe library.

You may use a study room up to two times a day for a total of two hours. This limit applies to both individuals and groups. You can reserve a room up to one week in advance on a first-come, first-served basis. If you do not arrive within 15 minutes after your reservation starts, the library may cancel your booking. Recurring reservations are not allowed. For more information, please refer to the Library's Meeting and Study Room Policy. 

All users of study rooms must follow the Salem Public Library Code of Conduct (Administrative Rule No. 101-01), and obey local, state, and federal laws. Please remember to leave the study rooms empty 15 minutes before the library closes.     

Meeting Rooms

Individuals and groups can reserve meeting rooms online, by phone, or at a Salem Public Library Ask Here Desk. Reservations can be made no more than six months and no fewer than seven days in advance. You can make reservations no more than six months and no fewer than seven days in advance.
