Teen Advisory Board
The Salem Public Library Teen Advisory Board is a leadership development program for middle and high school-aged youth.
Throughout the year, Teen Advisory Board members work with the Teen Librarian to:
- Assist with events and activities for children and teens
- Raise funds for Teen Scene improvement projects
- Take on other projects to improve library Teen Services and the library in general
- Decorate the Teen Scene
- Give feedback on Teen Scene materials and activities
Membership is open by application to a limited number of middle school and high school students.

Applications will be considered from students entering grades 6 through 11. After a review of written applications, each finalist will be invited to a live panel interview to complete the selection process. Completed applications for Fall 2025 must be received no later than 6 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2025.
