Teen Advisory Board

Teens read and talk in the library Teen SceneThe Salem Public Library Teen Advisory Board is a program that helps middle and high school students develop leadership skills.

Throughout the year, members of the Teen Advisory Board work with the Teen Librarian to:

  • Help with events and activities for children and teens
  • Raise money for projects that improve the Teen Scene
  • Work on other projects to enhance library services for teens and the library overall
  • Decorate the Teen Scene
  • Give feedback on Teen Scene materials and activities

Membership is open to a limited number of middle school and high school students through an application process.

How to Apply

Applications are not open at this time.

Applications will be considered from students entering grades 6 through 11. After a review of written applications, each finalist will be invited to a live panel interview to complete the selection process.
