Youth Gardening

The City of Salem is one of 300 cities from around the globe joining Bloomberg Philanthropies’ Youth Climate Action Fund. As part of this program, the City will receive $50,000 to distribute as microgrants to fund youth-led climate initiatives benefiting the Salem community. From creating a bike bus program at your school, to mobilizing a tree planting event, to organizing a community garden revamp event, efforts stemming from the new Youth Climate Action Fund will advance critical community goals, such as reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2035.
