Support for Neighborhood Associations
Salem’s Neighborhood Associations are independent and not controlled by the City. However, the City is dedicated to supporting these associations. The City provides resources to help them stay strong, engaged and effective partners in the community.
Available Resources
The resources listed below can help neighborhood associations in several ways:
- Training for Board Members: The City offers training to help board members learn their roles and responsibilities.
- Participation in Land Use Actions: The City provides guidance on how associations can get involved in land use decisions that affect their neighborhoods.
- Neighborhood Improvement: The City supports projects that aim to improve the neighborhood and make it a better place to live.
