Apply for a Temporary On-Street Parking Permit

cars parallel parked on streetIf you want to reserve parking spaces in the Downtown Parking District for a specific period, you must apply for temporary parking permits. In a residential parking district, you can use guest passes or apply for construction maintenance parking permits.

Temporary parking permits allow individuals and businesses to reserve spaces for special needs while keeping enough spaces open for others. This system is important for maintaining access to parking in busy areas and balancing the needs of all users, including residents, visitors and businesses.

When to Use Temporary Parking Permits

You can apply for temporary parking permits for non-construction activities, such as:

  • Special events
    • Weddings
