The Willamette Valley Communications Center is a regional center in Salem, Oregon. It answers 911 calls and sends help to emergencies in Lincoln, Marion and Polk counties, as well as the Grand Ronde area. The center works with police, fire departments, ambulance services and other emergency agencies to make sure people get the help they need quickly.

Knowing who provides emergency services in each area helps residents understand who will respond when they call 911. It also ensures people can contact the correct agency for non-emergency help.

Emergency Call-Takers and Dispatchers

The people who answer 911 calls and send help are trained and certified by the State of Oregon. They follow special rules for handling emergencies and giving medical instructions over the phone. This means they can help callers stay safe and provide first aid until paramedics arrive.
