  • Our Standards of Cover establishes performance objectives and standards for measuring how effectively resources are used.
  • To do this, the document evaluates the response resources available, how those resources are deployed, operational elements and overall risks in the community.
  • The document also provides several goals to improve the level of service to the community.
• Strategic Plan
  • Our strategic plan is the result of an in-depth examination of the department's vision for the future and a road map of how it will arrive at its destination.
  • The strategic plan is a living document. It will be monitored for accomplishment, reviewed against current City Council goals and adjusted as needed to ensure it remains a relevant and detailed path to the future.
• Organizational Chart
  • The Organizational Chart details the department's divisions and how they are structured.

Performance measures are a method of determining whether we are meeting our goals for emergency deployment. These measures are based on national standards used by fire departments across the nation.

• Key Measures
  • The Department Key Measures are the primary set of annual statistics that the department uses to determine the effectiveness of its current deployment.
• Response Time Grid Maps
  • These maps of the City show our ability to meet our emergency response time goal.
  • This tool helps identify areas of the City that need future deployment improvements to help meet emergency response needs.  

Call load statistics are compiled monthly and annually. These statistics help discover trends and changes in call load that may warrant further analysis.

  • The annual summary provides a quick reference for call load statistics for the current and previous calendar year.
