The City of Salem Parks and Recreation Department accepts donations for many recreation programs and activities. Donations are important because they help cover registration fees for participants who qualify for a fee waiver. This support allows more people to join programs like sports camps, sports leagues, and the Summer Parks Program.

How Donations Help

Donations also help buy equipment for registered participants of all ages. This includes equipment for activities like Pickleball. Additionally, donations and sponsorships support special events such as Movies in the Park and the Salem Kids Relays.

Cash Donations

If you make a cash donation and do not specify a program, the money will go into a general City of Salem account. This money will be used in the future through the budget process. You can also donate to a general Recreation account.

Electronic Donations

If you have registered for a recreation program before, you already have an account to make an electronic donation. If you have not registered, you need to create a customer profile and account to donate electronically.
