OR-22 Pedestrian Overcrossing Planning Study
Project Information
This project will evaluate the location, costs, and potential impacts of a pedestrian and bicycle overcrossing of North Santiam Highway (OR 22). The goal is to provide a safe connection between Lancaster Drive SE and Cordon Road on either side of OR 22.
Planning Study
This planning study is the first phase of implementing the Salem Transportation System Plan project. It will refine and determine the best alignment, connection points, design elements, and security features, while also providing a comprehensive cost estimate.
Summary
The project aims to develop a refinement plan to identify a preferred location and alignment for the pedestrian and bicycle overcrossing of OR 22. The planning process will explore possible overcrossing alignments based on current conditions, constraints, and public input. The final outcome will include all necessary materials and support for a competitive funding application for the design and construction of the preferred crossing.
