Aircraft Noise
The Salem-Willamette Valley Airport is committed to addressing community concerns about aircraft noise and low-flying aircraft. While the airport does not control or regulate aircraft in flight or their flight paths, we do maintain records of complaints, investigate unusual noise events, and encourage the pilot community to fly friendly over the area.

To report a noise complaint, please complete the form below.
• Provide as much detail about the nature of the event and aircraft as possible.
• Include a description of the aircraft, if available.
• Please indicate whether you would like a follow-up response.
Low-Flying Aircraft
Only the FAA has regulatory authority over aircraft in flight. 14 CFR Part 91.119 of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) addresses minimum safe altitudes.
If you believe an aircraft is in violation of the FAR, you can report the incident to the Portland Flight Standards District Office at (503) 615-3200 with the aircraft registration or "N" number, and description of the aircraft.
