The City Efficiency Committee is a cross section of community members selected by the Finance Committee to identify efficiencies within City operations and expenditures. The Committee was formed after City Council action taken at the January 13, 2025 Council meeting which authorized its creation and approved by the Finance Committee on January 21, 2025.

Members were recommended by the City Manager in collaboration with the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce and the Homebuilders Association. Members were selected based on their professional experience preparing or evaluating complex budgets for large organizations.
