The City Council Oversight Committee for Local Option Levy was created to review expenditures of the levy funds to ensure they are used exclusively for the purposes outlined in the May 2025 ballot measure and receive public testimony.

Voters approved the Local Option Levy in May 2025 to provide funding for the Salem Public Library, Center 50+ and Parks and Recreation.
