Salem Housing Authority, Urban Renewal Agency, and City Council Meetings

Regular City Council Meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at Loucks Auditorium at Salem Public Library, 585 Liberty Street SE, Salem, OR. Interested persons may also view the meeting in real-time on the City of Salem YouTube channel, thanks to a partnership with CC:Media. Comcast Cable subscribers can watch on CC:Media Channel 21.

Please submit comments on agenda items by 5:00 p.m., or earlier, on the day of the meeting at cityrecorder@cityofsalem.net. 

If attending the meeting in person and you would like to provide comments, please sign up on the roster in Loucks Auditorium prior to the start of the meeting. 

Interested individuals not able to attend the meeting in person may provide comments or testimony remotely. Remote speakers must pre-register between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting.

Request Agendas and Meeting Records (June 2016 - June 2026) 

The City recently transitioned its agenda management software to improve user experience and making more archived material available. As a result of this transition, the previous agenda page containing meeting materials from mid-2016 through June 2026, is not accessible as this time. The City is working on a solution to restore public access to agendas and minutes from meetings held before July 1, 2026.

In the meantime, please submit a public records request to obtain these documents at no cost for electronic copies. Requests for previous agendas and meeting records are anticipated to be fulfilled in one business day.

Agendas for City Council meetings from July 13, 2026, and beyond, will be published 2 or 3 business days before the meeting. After publication, the agendas and related materials can be accessed below by choosing the meeting date.
