Completed Neighborhood Traffic Management Projects

The City of Salem is committed to enhancing the safety and livability of our neighborhoods through effective traffic management. Over the past years, we have successfully implemented several Neighborhood Traffic Management Projects, designed to address community concerns and improve traffic conditions. Walker Road NE — 2023

This project installed five speed bumps on Walker Road NE between Carolina Avenue NE and Sunnyview Road NE.

This project installed four speed bumps on Stortz Avenue NE between Portland Road NE and Robert Avenue NE.

Tierra Drive NE and Weathers Street NE — 2024

This project installed four speed bumps on Tiera Drive NE between Market Street NE and Weathers Street NE. Additionally, the project installed two speed bumps on Weathers Street NE between Tierra Drive NE and Lancaster Drive NE.

This project installed four speed bumps on Rogers Lane NW between Wallace Road NW and Kurt Drive NW.

Pikes Pass – Soapstone Stop Sign Plan — 2024

This project installed ten stop signs in the area generally bounded by Landau Street SE, Reed Lane SE, Blue River Drive SE and Mistymorning Avenue SE.

This project installed 12 stop signs in the area generally bounded by Hrubetz Road SE, Second Avenue SE, Lone Oak Road SE and Boone Road SE.
