This project will include construction of a new pipeline to reroute and temporarily store a portion of the stormwater flows that currently discharge into Goldcrest Brook. This will allow stormwater to be released at a rate that more closely matches natural conditions, reducing erosion downstream.

The new pipeline is planned pipeline along Tanager Avenue NW and Ammon Street NW from Toucan Street NW to Linwood Street NW.

The project is scheduled to be funded for a total budget of $3,200,000 of funding from Utility Rates and Stormwater System Development Charges.

We anticipate beginning the design phase of this project later this year, with construction expected to begin in 2028.

Disruptions to traffic and users will be minimal during the project design phase. Vehicle access will be impacted when construction is underway, and delays and/or detours should be expected.
