This project will resurface the roadway and replace the associated non-compliant Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) curb ramps within the project limits. The work will also include replacement of two traffic signals, installation of three new pedestrian crossings, minor utility upgrades, restriping of the roadway corridor to include a road diet to add bike lanes.

The project is located on Silverton Road NE, from 17th Street NE to Fisher Road NE, and on 17th Street NE near the Jackman-Long Fairgrounds building.

Construction is underway and expected to last through the end of 2026.

Vehicle access may be impacted while crews work in the area and delays should be expected. Silverton Road NE will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction and flaggers may be on-site as needed to direct traffic through the impacted area. Access for pedestrians, including those with disabilities will be available and identified through or around the work zones.  Night work will be necessary to complete this project. Businesses will remain open during construction, including Fair facilities for scheduled events.
