Park Improvements Coming Soon

A park master plan update was approved by City Council on May 10, 2021. Some improvements to the park will happen spring 2022!

The master plan update includes many improvements to the park. These improvements will be implemented in phases due to cost. The first phase is focused on the area south of the entrance road and includes a hard surface pathway, new tennis courts, a multi-use field and a picnic shelter.

The next phases of improvements will include additional pathways, playground upgrades, restroom, and picnic shelter. View the master plan in English or Spanish to see all features of the update.

The master plan update includes improvements to the Aquifer Storage and Recovery System (ASR) located in the park that provides a backup source of treated drinking water for Salem residents.
